Boil Sotong and Prawn in hot water, rinse...
Add Sotong and Prawn to sauces...
Add Lemon Juice about 2 table spoon
Serve when hot

Crispy Cookies
1/2 stick of Butter
1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1 egg
200g of Sugar
1.5 Cups of Flour
1/2 tbspn of Baking Powder

Chicken Floss Chiffon Cake
Wanted to make a salty sweet Chiffon Cake, so bought some chicken floss and start making this cake.
The end result is good, cake is eaten up by the family within a day. Only thing I am not happy is I add the chicken floss in between the batter but the top batter push the floss to 1 end. The end product is not as good looking as I wanted.
On the 2nd day I made a Chocolate cake, try baking half of the batter for 10 mins and add extra chocolate chips on the centre of the cake and continue baking with the remaining batter, the result was good.
Here are my recipe :-
4 TBSP Oil
5 Yolks + 1 whole egg
6 TBSP Milk
1 TSP Vanilla Extract
1/2 TSP Salt
1 Cup Cake Flour
1 TSP Baking Powder
6 TBSP Sugar
5 Egg White
1/8 TSP Cream of Tar Tar
5 TBSP Sugar
Fill up centre Layer with Chicken Floss

My 1 decoration Cake - Chocolate Cake
Asked Justen what favour he wants for his birtday cake, his answer is predictable... Chocolate cake. Making the cream is a disaster for me as I am not good in that. I add chocolate chip to whipping cream and end up the cream turn watery... Very stress making this cake into a nice looking one. My little prince still happy with the end product. Is his mommy 1st decor cake ok and is made especially for him.
Whipping Cream Bun
Making soup for dinner last Saturday so much make some bun to go with it. Hubby favorite combination.
Mushroom soup :- Campbell 1 can, fresh mushroom, 1/2 onion and ham. 3 cups of water cook till all well blend.
My hubby is very impressed with my new invention - the sweet bun with whipping cream as I still got a lot of it so tot why not add into my dough and see what is the end reason. The result is super soft and tasty. Everyone should try but then is a bit unhealthy lah, so don't eat too much ok.

Oreo Cake
Today Justen went for Tuition and Rayen went for swimming, I felt better after some rest, so thought to make something that they like. Oreo are kids favorite, adding it in to the cake should taste good too. I used the 7 eggs today as left with quite a number of eggs. No milk so replace with leftover fresh cream, left about 1/2 cup and I add some water tot will be too thick if didn't add water. 1 added 5 oreo biscuit in the yolk batter.

Strawberry Yogurt Chiffon Cake
My eldest sis birthday is coming, so tot to make her a birthday cake.
1st thing come into my mind is Strawberry so tot why not make a Strawberry Cake for her.
I made 1 simple chiffon cake on Friday evening, and plan to decorate it on Saturday.
On the next day I saw my cake become a Pac man cake...
Hubby didn't aware of my plan and share it with my kids. The 1st cake is more like a vanilla cake as the yogurt didn't really have a strong intensive smell of strawberry.
So I have to made another cake and postpone my visiting to her house on Sunday.
As I have more time to plan I decided to shop for Strawberries, Strawberries essence and 1 more bottle of Strawberry Yogurt Drink (and just found out that the drink is filled with nata nicoco.)
I smashed 5 Strawberries and added a bit of food coloring to make the cake look even more yummy.
I am very proud of my creation although my BIL tot the one selling outside is more yummier.
But mine is much more healthier lor...

Lazy Chiffon Cake
Using only measuring spoon and cup to do this cake.
I think all recipe should change it to this way easier for lazy pple who love to bake like me, but hate to wash.
FIL tried my cake and said is not oily so he like it.

Bread Advisor
MIL's 7th sis bought a bread machine recently, and she called me for advise... I am happy to know that the method I used for white bread is good for her too.
Here are the recipe :-
2/3 cup of hot water
2 cups of bread flour
40g of Butter
3 tbsp of sugar
1.5 tsp of yeast
2 tbsp of milk powder
Let the ingredient rest for at least 30 mins to 1 hour
Set the dough mode and do a cycle.
Set to fast bake and stop baking 10 mins before completing the cycle.
I will bake the bread in the evening, after baking let it cool down before storing into an air tight box.

Every week during Rayen's lesson I will walk over to their shop to see see look look.
Tot to buy these few items for a while but didn't do so till I succeed in making chiffon and butter cake.
Yes I need a cake leveler to cake a cake nicely...

Chocolate Banana Cup Cake
This recipe is not heavy although I am using 156g of flour actually as I need to use up all my supply.
I am lazy to wash so I used my measuring spoon to do the job on Sugar, Oil and milk.
Justen told me his version is yummier.
Daddy say is good. Rayen told me she help to smash the banana.

Honey Orange Chiffon Vs Old Fashion Butter Cake
Made a Honey Chiffon cake for my SIL's family,
As her hb cannot take too sweet stuff, I tot honey and fresh orange should be a good replacement from sugar and milk. Sound so much healthier right... Anyway end product is so light but too moist, think I need to reduce on the juice or bake longer.
The above is a bit too light for my liking I decided to make a butter cake.
Got the Recipe from Nasi Lemak Lover
But I change a bit due to I only have Unsalted Butter and don't know what is Vanilla, so I replacing it with vanilla extract.
Butter cake turn out to be more fluffy and moist compare to the one I did early this month.
Brought some for my colleagues and they are said that is yummy!
Think people will think that I am crazy to make 2 cakes in a night about 2.5hrs. With more practice I can actually reduce the things to wash as well as the baking process. Very proud of myself.

Dec 2013 Trip Planning
Told Michelle I will leave early on 20th Dec as hope to reach KL before 9pm.
We will be staying in KL for 2 days before going to Penang on 22nd Dec.
Leaving Penang on 26th Dec and Spend 2 nights in Ipoh and 2 nights in Port Dickson.
Can't wait for my long holiday...

Gula Melaka Chiffon Cake
Sister in law told me that her 1st chiffon cake is not successful.
Actually is quite normal for beginner as baking a chiffon cake is not very easy as it look.
From the egg selection to egg beating, folding, and bring it into oven...
Tips on Making a nice chiffon :-
No changes on ingredient for egg white mixture.
Love the end product very much as it is soft and spongy with nice coconut favor.

From the egg selection to egg beating, folding, and bring it into oven...
Tips on Making a nice chiffon :-
- Egg must be room temperature
- No egg yolk should be swimming in egg white
- Egg white should not touch with water or grease
- No lining of paper is required
- Temperate should not be too high, but if not high enough it will not rise nicely. (this is by trial and error as the user know their oven best) For my oven I set it at 160c, wanted to try on a higher temp to test water.
- all the ingredient adding with Egg yolk can do it in any order but not for egg white.
- Egg white only need to beat till soft peak.
- Folding the egg white partially into the yolk mixture. This is to prevent air from escaping from the egg white mixture.
- Hit a few time after batter is transfer to the container.
- Put it into the pre heated oven
- Bake till done!

Chocolate Chiffon Cake
Chocolates are my hb and kids favorite so I must try doing it, I don't like to look at recipe, just change and switch the ingredient and "ta ta" here is my yummy chocolate chiffon cake.
Replacing Milk to Chocolate Milk
120g of flour to 100g flour and 20g of cocoa powder

Pandan Chiffon
Making 2 pastries today, Pandan Chiffon cake using the same recipe for Lemon Chiffon...
Initially when I put the batter into the mold I am so worry that it might become a Kueh again. As the mixture is more watery compared to Lemon Chiffon due to the 1 tsp of pandan paste that I added.
End result was satisfactory... MIL say that it is spongy and moist.

Milk Bun with Sausage and Cheese
I don't really weigh my ingredient for Bread making... Making 3 times per week for the last 8 mths I can tell you that I am very confident on my bread and bun.
I enjoy seeing the dough dancing in the machine. Enjoy the rising process too...
To ensure the bun is fluffy all we need to do is to knead longer...
After seeing the dough become shining and smooth is the right time to let it rise.
I need about 1 hr to make the dough chubby.
Adding extra flour to ensure the dough don't stick on our hand.
I will cut my dough into 12 portions.
Roll it with sausage and add cheese on top of the bun.
Wait it to rise for another 30 mins
Bring into oven and bake for 20 mins or until it is browish.
Brush it with butter so that they will look shiny and yummy!
Recipe :- 3/4 cup of Milk, 2 cups of Bread flour, 3 tbsp of Sugar, 30 gm of Butter, 1 tsp of salt and 1.5 tsp of yeast.

Lemon Chiffon Cake
I tried many time on making a Chiffon cake and always failed.
End product always turn into kueh.
I love the texture and the taste of it, I love the ingredient which is not so sinful as butter cake.
I have all the ingredient stated in the book and follow step by step in the guide.
Finally my 1st Chiffon cake is born.
The Lemon favour is very strong that kids don't really fancy it, but is ok I can always convert it into a Cheese
Chiffon cake or a Chocolate Chiffon cake to win their heart.
My New Oven n a cake turn into a kueh...
I just bought a new Europac oven on Sunday, as my old mistral's door is unable to close fully.
I am adventure, trying to make a Rainbow Cake with my new oven.
Mission failed as I over folded the flour it become a kueh...
Kids are happy with my invention and finished for me.
Got to thanks them to give me the courage to more on.
